What is a Labyrinth?
Labyrinths are ancient winding paths
that are metaphors for life's journey. Using them mindfully creates rich experiences that range from soothing to
enlightening to deeply transformational.
A labyrinth is not a maze. That is,
there are no dead ends or trick turns, nothing to figure out. Traditionally, a labyrinth is a single,
two-dimensional pathway that winds from the perimeter of a circle into its center. There are several ancient
labyrinth designs and many modern interpretations.
The intention with which one walks
the labyrinth makes all the difference in one’s experience of the journey. Guided intentional walks are our
specialty, as well as training in building simple labyrinths and structuring meaningful labyrinth experiences for
oneself and others.
We are part of a growing world
community of lovers of the Labyrinth, creating many varied opportunities for people everywhere to experience the
peace, harmony, and healing the labyrinth's sacred geometry promotes.
Labyrinths are being used in places
of worship for meditation, in hospitals to promote calm and healing, and in conflict areas to facilitate peace and
reconciliation. A group labyrinth walk is a unique way to celebrate a rite of passage in life - a special birthday,
wedding or anniversary, retirement, graduation, and more.
Contact us to bring a labyrinth experience to your
group. Labyrinths are non-denominational, equal-opportunity paths for personal and group
exploration!
